The Las Fallas Festival Is A Great Way To Experience Spanish Culture

Las Fallas Festival deals
By FOMO Girl
Valencia is a great city to visit any time of year. It has all the things you would expect from a city break, like vibrant culture, museums, bars, restaurants and great nightlife. However, the most massive party in Valencia takes place in March, with the Las Fallas Festival. Las Fallas is a huge fiesta of fireworks, crazy sculpture and non-stop partying.

The Las Fallas Festival is a noisy one. The streets are filled with fireworks, flames, parades, performances and people. The population more than doubles during the festival as revellers travel from other areas of Spain to enjoy the festivities. Many people also visit from other countries, so be sure to make a reservation in advance as the city fills up quickly.

There are two main features of the Las Fallas festival - fireworks and sculpture. The fireworks are renowned as the loudest in Spain. I have heard they even banned pregnant women from the vicinity. They take place at regular intervals throughout the celebrations with a scheduled display every afternoon. The final evening has a huge fireworks party with a massive display at midnight.

The sculptures are what give the festival its name. They are incredible creations usually built around a satirical theme. The “Fallas” are placed around the city before and during the festival period and there are a few days where you can wonder around to view them all, with some of them several stories high. In previous years, there have been effigies of actors from popular Spanish soap operas and politicians. Even former US President George Bush was made one year.

The culmination of the event is the torching of these sculptures, when months of work is burned down in just a few hours. The final evening really is a pyrotechnic extravaganza with these fires and the fireworks and endless dancing in the streets. After four days of continuous celebrations, you might think people would be running out of steam, but no way, as the last night is massive.

Las Fallas in Valencia is one of the biggest, noisiest festivals in Spain. You can travel to it independently but a guided tour will enhance the experience as your guide can help you get right into the action.  An organised tour is a great way to make the most of a trip to the loudest festival in the Valencian calendar. There are some really great travel companies offering great deals to suit all budgets. Busabout is one of these great tour operators with trips to Las Fallas.  Tours will usually include accommodation, some meals, a city tour and a guided tour of the main festival sites.

Festivals travel is more and more popular these days as you get to see new places and take part in their cultural highlights.  Visiting a city during a festival is a great way to get to know the people and culture. It is a unique opportunity to celebrate with strangers and immerse yourself in their way of life. This gives a totally different, deeper perspective than just wandering around museums or eating their food, but of course, you can do that as well.

FOMO Travel are the festival and events specialists and they have extensive information on the Las Fallas Festival, as well as information on the tour options available.

Adventure Travel Deals
By FOMO Girl
When it is time to take a vacation there is no better way than to enjoy a trip to somewhere you have desired to visit. It is understandable why people may be apprehensive when it comes to veering too far from home. Going to other exotic places with adventure travel tour operators offers a change of pace, style, and excitement. Below are some of the major and popular benefits.

It does not matter whether you are single, a couple, or a family with children, there are many exotic tours available to fit all ages on a budget. From extravagant cruises stopping by a variety of ports, to wild adventures, you can settle in and enjoy the realistic and captivating cultures, which make any vacation unforgettable.

If you have ever attempted to plan to go to a destination on your own, then you already know it can be time intensive. Taking the time to search for airfares, accommodation, transportation, and places to go and things to see can be overwhelming. Saving a lot of time planning is a luxury to take advantage of when you rely on a travel company or tour operator.

Companies specializing in this area can take all of this angst away with ease. Their websites can show you places they go, from everywhere under the sun including Antarctic expeditions. The only thing the consumer has to do is make up their mind where they want to take a spectacular journey too and when.

The next biggest advantage to the time savings is the benefit of pocketing a huge savings. Special promotions for tours are always offered for a variety of destinations. In addition to this just booking a packaged trip will always result in huge discounts in many cases up to forty percent off the normal price if you were to book the trip independently.

Special offers typically have to be booked to leave at a certain time or during a specific season. Going on an African Safari for seven days with accommodations, airfare, and land transportation included could result in a fifteen to twenty percent discount. For anyone wanting to see Egyptian pyramids and see the history that comes with it, going to Egypt on select departures could net you a discount of up to twenty percent off. There are also deals made available at the last minute that offer significant savings.

In general, most tour company bookings are also extremely safe and what is most loved by travelers is the opportunity to join in with small groups of people. This is safer, satisfying and enjoying and it gives people who are worried about venturing in an unknown place by themselves, the opportunity to intermingle with small groups so you won't have to explore the new surroundings solo. Staying with others who are on the same excursion makes it fun.

Adventure travel tours offer lavish selections and the ultimate in service to suite all preferences. It is hard to imagine the options that are available on such stylish trips and at budget prices. You will get much more than you pay for.

Ways To Get The Best Flights Deals And Airlines

Best Flight Deals
By FOMO Girl
Traveling is something that you want to always have as much information on as you can, you want to always know better ways to travel so you can save money and time. This article is to serve as a place where you can gain a few tips about flights and an insight into how to travel by plane better in the future.

When traveling, it is important to make sure your airline will suit your needs. Different airlines maintain different niches. Some are inexpensive, some provide superior service, and some cater to far more destinations than others. Before you book any trip by plane, research different airlines first, it might just save you a headache later.  A cheap ticket can lead to a lousy flight experience. Tall individuals can find themselves subject to extremely uncomfortable conditions if the airline provides little legroom. So, research your airline ahead of time, and learn about all the ticket and service options they provide.

Look into seasonal flight prices as you will be able to find a chart that shows when it is cheapest to fly to different destinations. Plan your trip around peak travel dates, instead of in during them, and you will likely find that you will save money on the flight as well as the hotel.

Check prices directly with the airline, as well as online travel sites, in order to save money on your trip. Although it is often small, some search engine sites add a fee to their rates. To avoid the fee, check the airline website directly. You will typically find that the rates are lower when you book directly.

If you are traveling by air, take advantage of advance seat selection. Advance seat selection can help to ensure that you have seats on the plane in the location you are most comfortable in. They can also help you to be sure that you are sitting next to your business associate, significant other, or other traveling partner. Sometimes there is a minimal charge for this feature, but it is well worth the price.

A great travel tip if you want to try to avoid flight delays is to try and take a flight that is as early as possible. Since airports are usually filled to their capacity, if one plane is delayed, more then likely the plane after that will be delayed, too, since it has to wait for the gate to open up.  Depending on your location, early morning fog can be a factor also, causing extensive flight delays, The first flight in the morning should have very limited reasons for a delay.

Most airlines will overbook their flights during busy times or seasons. In the event that too many people show up for the flight, they will need volunteers to take a different flight at a later time, in exchange for vouchers for travel, food and lodging that can be used at a later date. If you aren't in a hurry, you can pay for part of your next vacation!

The tips and advice you just learned is a great place to start when thinking about better ways you can go about traveling. When you're actually out traveling then all you want to worry about is having fun, so be on the look out for more traveling tips that can relieve your stress when thinking about traveling.

Best Travel Search Engines can help you find the best flight and hotel deals. So, now that the travel FOMO is starting to kick in, you should get over to FOMO Travel and get booking your next amazing vacation.

The Songkran Festival Is A Great Way To Experience Thailand

Songkran Festival
By FOMO Girl
Thailand is a magical country. The amazing food has become renowned the world over and the beaches are paradise. These days travellers are realising that Thailand is a diverse place with lots of different cultural experiences to offer. The Songkran Festival is known as one of the wildest festivals in Asia, bringing more and more explorers interested in experiencing different festivals across the globe.

Songkran is basically the Thai New Year and it takes place in April each year with many celebrations all over the country. Chiang Mai, in the north of the country, and the capital, Bangkok, are probably the most popular destinations to celebrate the festival. You don't have to choose between Bangkok and Chiang Mai as there is time to spend a couple of days in each city, where you will witness lots of festivities, parades and plenty of water!

Songkran at its most basic is a massive water fight. People take to the streets with water guns, bombs, hoses, buckets and anything else they can find. In some cities the fire brigade takes part, soaking crowds with their huge hoses. Traditionally people gave water as an offering to shrines but that has snowballed into a riot of water fights.

In Bangkok many streets are closed to vehicles so that people can wonder freely and enjoy themselves. Lots of the residents leave the city to visit family so it is less hectic than normal. Tourist sites stay open so it can also be a good time to see those without crowds.

In Chiang Mai there are street parades and processions through the ancient city on both the roads and many canals. Buddha statues can be seen floating on boats and people gather on the banks to sprinkle water on them. In the centre of the city, revellers take to the streets to throw water around so make sure to take care of your phone and camera. The city is surrounded by beautiful scenery and national parks with temples. Many take trips out to these to make offerings.

Many travel companies now offer specialised Songkran trips. It is a wonderful way to see Thailand's New Year festival. Thai new year is a riot of fun and water. Offerings are made and parades take place. Having a local guide will help you navigate the craziness and get the most from the trip. Organised tours are a fantastic way to really make the most of this special festival. They provide a local guide who knows exactly what is going on and can take you to the best places at the right time.

Thai culture is very different from anything westerners are used to, so having someone to explain everything enriches the total experience. Often local guides can take tourists to places they would not be able to visit alone and they can communicate with the local people on your behalf.

Organised tours are available for all budgets and can also be tailor made for your group. The budget tours are difficult to beat for value. Even travelling independently you would probably spend more money. The tour companies are able to get amazing deals on accommodation and travel costs.

Getting The Best Out Electronics And Technology Whilst Traveling

Traveling with electronics and technology tips
By FOMO Girl
Whether you are leaving town for a weekend getaway, or heading off to a foreign location for weeks on end, traveling brings with it a certain amount of planning. Hopefully the ideas we have for you here in regard to traveling with electronics and technology will help to put your mind at ease, and lead to a successful trip.

If you pack electronics while traveling, either remove the batteries or flip them around. Some small electronics can be easily flipped on. You definitely do not want them flipping on in your bag during the trip. There is a good chance the battery might be drained by the time they are unpacked.

Capturing all of the great memories of your travels on camera can be an amazing part of your trip, but be sure to carry a few extra charged batteries. If you are traveling overseas, you cannot always be sure your charger will work, or that the adapter will fit the plugs. Batteries are small and lightweight, so save yourself the hassle of finding disposable cameras by taking an extra battery or two.

When traveling with a digital camera, always take along an extra memory card. You will most likely be taking more photographs than normal and the card in your camera can fill up quickly. You will also want to put the settings of your camera on the higher resolutions in order to preserve your memories in a print version later, and this will take up more memory space on your card.

Consider purchasing a Wi-Fi detector before you travel on a trip. Not having access to the internet can make trip annoying, particularly for the business traveler. A Wi-Fi detector can help you find a hotspot even when businesses are not advertising that they have it available. You can find these signal detectors on just about anything, including key chains.  You can even get Apps now on your Smartphone that can detect Wi-Fi.

If you travel with many electronics pack a power strip or power board. Though hotels have electrical outlets available it is not uncommon for each person to have 2 or 3 items that need to be charged every night. A power strip can keep the cords relegated to one area instead of strewn all over the room.

If you're traveling on a tight schedule, give yourself the advantage of learning the layout of an unfamiliar airport by using your Smartphone to download an App for the particular airports you are going to. There are plenty out there that give you all the information you need on a specific airport, from locating the restroom to checking arrival and departure times.

If you have a Smartphone, contact your carrier before you leave to find out options on international use. You may be able to pay a fee for the ability to use you phone in a foreign country that would otherwise have been either restricted or very expensive to use.  If not, you need to make sure that your push settings are turned off and your data is switched off whilst roaming, otherwise you will get a massive bill when you get home!

If you're far away from home and find that you've left your phone charger at home, call the front desk of your hotel and explain the situation. Most hotels save the abandoned or forgotten chargers that are left in hotel rooms. If your phone is a fairly common model, it might save you from paying fifty dollars for a charger that you only use for one or two days.

If you are traveling to Europe or Australia with electronic gadgets, remember that the voltage for household outlets is going to be different than in North America. This means that you'll either need to bring a converter so that you can plug American goods into European and Australian power points, or find appliances that can handle a range of voltages.

While traveling is entirely a personal activity for everyone, it does share the main goal of seeing a new place, either for business, family, or to fulfill a dream. As you have seen in these electronic and technology tips, there are various things to know, but it is all created around the idea of making your trip better.

How is that travel FOMO coming along?  You know FOMO Travel has the cure that particular disease.

Cure your travel FOMO here and now...
