If you’re a young person who wishes to explore all the hidden and interesting parts of New Zealand, then the best thing you could do would be to check out the NZ Hop-On Hop-Off Bus specialists, Stray Travel. They are one of the best tour operators to use to explore the best and usually unseen (by tourists) parts of New Zealand. They focus on the things that are usually passed by other operators, and Stray will take you too many interesting destinations that you would never see otherwise.

What they have pioneered is quite unusual, a bus network that is a guided get on get off trip around New Zealand. The passes for the buses are completely flexible, which means that if you are interested in staying anywhere longer or want to see friends then you can get on or off the bus at any point along the route. This is so unconventional that any other kind of trip just seems boring!

The driver or guide is chock full of knowledge of all things kiwi and can assist you to book a place to stay or any activity that you would be interested in doing. But if you want to you can just do your own thing any time it suits you. What other organised trip can offer you that?

As mentioned before, the best part of what they offer is that they deliberately go into the locations that offer something special that are not normally on other operators top tours destinations. So you don't have to find someone else to help you experience things the kiwi way, it's already included.

You can also choose between the hop-on, hop off bus passes or their all-inclusive Stray Journey's, which includes everything from meals, to included activities and accommodation. The Stray Journeys are only small group tours to ensure that you will be a part of the trip experience. Whichever option you choose you will have a completely guided trip of the whole of New Zealand.

Choose which ever trip or route that suits you, they will even guarantee that you will have accommodation on the first night of each location, even in the out of the way places. No matter where you are, you will have the best and most unique trip of this beautiful country.  An immersion in to the Maori culture and typical kiwi life is standard on these trips.

The founder of Stray, Neil Geddes, was a pioneer in the backpacking trips way back when and just wanted tourists to see New Zealand the way he did, down to earth and not just doing the tourist things that every other tour operator does. His vision lead to the birth of Stray and the wonderful and unique trips they organize. This is truly the only way to see this beautiful country for what it really is.

So if you are young and adventurous, and want to see the best parts of the kiwi nation, Stray is where you should go. Go by yourself or with friends, but go!  You can find out more information on all the trips offered by Stray Travel at FOMO Travel.  But you better be careful as travel FOMO is sure to hit as soon as you arrive...

Intrepid Travel Trips
By FOMO Girl
Intreprid Travel is an award-winning company and a very popular choice adventure travel tour operator. What started out as a project between two friends from university, has now grown to become a member of PEAK Adventure Travel Group Limited, and guides hundreds of thousands of travellers every year.

Intrepid has been around since the late 1980s and today has more than 1,000 staff members working around the globe.  With more than 800 trips across each continent, Intrepid has maintained its devotion to the same travel philosophies and grassroot values it started on. With every trip operated, and every relationship it has with locals, suppliers and customers, it follows several core values. There are integrity, passion, fun, innovation, growth and responsibility, with these values still delivering what Intrepid Travel is today.

Group sizes are typically small, which allows individuals to go off the beaten track.  Intrepid employ local transportation services and accommodations, and really integrate with the culture, which also guarantees contribution to the local economy. By choosing suppliers who are local, the company is able to keep millions of dollars in local economies every year. It also strives to reduce carbon footprint and was among the first of its kind to introduce carbon-offset trips. This, as well as the other sustainability activities it practices, makes Intrepid one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to responsible travel.

Travellers are offered three different styles of tour: Comfort, Original and Basix. Each of these has its own set of accommodations and inclusions, but all carry unforgettable experiences. These tours are best for individuals looking for adventure, people who crave a real-life experience in a place that exists outside of the continent, country, state or home they live in.

Basix is for those who are on a budget, as these trips keep the inclusions limited. They are more about value and free time to choose what you want do. Original is the classic style of Intrepid and these adventures include more activities than Basix and are ideal for those interested in trying a little bit of everything. There are also Comfort trips that are designed for those interested in more inclusions. Comfort also offer higher standards for accommodations, such as larger vehicles, bigger rooms and more activities included.

Customers can also select from trips that are themed as well and can choose from food, family, sailing, polar, short breaks, wildlife, walking, cycling, festival and events, and overland. Themed adventures make it easier to enjoy your favorite things and activities that match your likes and needs. Whether you are travelling solo, or with a group, Intrepid has options to make your trip as comfortable as possible.

Transportation Options To Consider For The Next Time You Travel

Travel Tranportation Options
By FOMO Girl
When considering traveling, it is important to think of the best mode of transportation. Traveling by car can offer many more sights and opportunities for side trips. Traveling by train can offer a chance to relax and get some work done if you wanted. Planes can cover ground fast but do not allow much movement and one cannot simply get off the plane in-flight. Each mode of travel has its own advantages and disadvantages to be considered and some of these are outlined in this article.

Travelling by plane can be a way to greatly reduce traveling time, while increasing time that can be spent enjoying the trip. Also, you are free to entertain yourself while the pilots and other staff take care of everything. You can sit back and enjoy the flight, while traveling in comfort.

Taking a train can be an attractive mode of travel for many reasons. For one it does not require effort from the individual beyond sitting in their seat. A person is free to do whatever they want to do while they are en route. There are also many other reasons why traveling by train is enjoyable.  If you are touring Europe, take advantage of their outstanding rail system. Instead of flying to each of your destinations, only fly into your first city and then hop on the train. Not only is it much more affordable, but also by traveling overland, you are sure to get an amazing look at the area beyond your major city stops.

Bus travel is a great way to see the countryside. It allows you an inexpensive way to get from destination to destination while sitting back and allowing someone else to do the driving. You will get to enjoy the scenery and even have frequent stops to see each place, without having to spend too much or bother with gas expenses.

Traveling by bicycle can have many positive effects on a person and on the overall traveling experience. It will allow you to see everything from a very different perspective. It will also save on buying gas and will definitely increase the amount of exercise you get. A bicycle trip should not be overlooked, especially if you are up for an adventure.

Sometimes by choosing multiple means of travel you can get the best of everything. For example by taking a plane somewhere and renting a car when you arrive, you can get the benefits of a quick flight as well as the benefits of having a car to go wherever you want while at your destination.

Taxi’s can often be a great way to get around a particular city, because they are the local who knows where everything is.  Whether you are traveling within the United States or in a foreign country, always make sure the taxi cabs you use are certified though. There is usually a sticker visible from the back seat of the vehicle. If you are unsure, research city-licensed cabs before you travel. This way, you can avoid unlicensed cabs that overcharge their patrons, and save money to do more fun things during your travels.

So, these are just a few different transportation options and issues that you should consider next time you are planning you next vacation or adventure.

How is that travel FOMO coming along?  If you need to find the cure, you know that FOMO Travel is the only one with all the answers.

Group Travel Tips and Ideas
By FOMO Girl
Traveling with a group of friends can make for a really amazing vacation. Finding a group of friends to travel with and to share experiences and socialize with whilst on vacation can provide you with the most memorable experiences that can often last a lifetime. There is nothing better than going on vacation with friends, and there are lots of travel destinations that can accommodate large groups. This article will give you some ideas for maximizing your fun on your next group adventure.

Traveling to foreign lands can be fun, but it’s not always best to go it alone. Many people tend to get caught up in the wonders of being a tourist, but forget that the locals may not be as kind as they think they are. The world is vast and not everyone is nice. Traveling with a group prevents you from being the target of the next crime, as you will generally have everyone looking out for each other.

If you are going to be traveling in a group, be sure to book most things in advance. Booking in advance will make it more likely that your group will be seated together on the plane or roomed near each other at your hotel. If you are a very large group you might also need to consider booking dinner renovations and transportation in advance You certainly do not want to leave your arrangements to chance when traveling in a group, so book early and confirm your arrangements.

Keep a group journal in your hotel room while traveling. Invest in something as inexpensive as a spiral notebook, and allow the people you are traveling with to write in it during down time. This will provide an interesting read later and will be a nice keepsake from your trip.

To make sure your trip is fun for the whole group, let everyone pick out an activity. Give one person a chance to go shopping, and let another spend some quality time at the hotel pool. Don't get too caught up in the sights you want to see or what you have planned. Letting others do what they want will help them to appreciate the things you'd like to do.

If you are renting cars for a group, consider renting a large car or SUV, as it will save on gas and the cost of renting two vehicles.

As was stated in the beginning of this article, there is nothing better than going on a trip with a big group of friends. Traveling with a group opens the door to many different activities that are sure to be a great time. Apply the advice from this article for maximizing your fun the next time you and your friends travel.

If you're considering going on an extended group tour, whether it be an adventure holiday, party trip or just with some other young like-minded travelers, then FOMO Travel have got some great information that you should check out on the numerous options out there for group travel.

Taking Good Care Of Yourself Whilst Traveling

Medical Tips when traveling
By FOMO Girl
Although intended to be a leisurely and relaxing activity, travel can sometimes be unnecessarily stressful and fraught with disaster. A vacation can turn into a nightmare if you conduct your trip without the proper planning. To make the most of your travel plans in the future, read through these medical and first aid related tips below.

To ensure you have a pleasant and safe traveling experience, make sure you have travel insurance and that it is valid in the country you're traveling to. Doing this will make you feel more secure, and make it easier to enjoy your trip. It could prevent big problems down the line if you do fall ill.

Remote areas are often among the most interesting of possible travel destinations. Just make sure you take necessities like your prescription medicines with you. One way of looking at it is that if something isn't available for sale where you are then you probably didn't need it anyway! Items like medicines, however, can be indispensable so don't leave having them to chance.

If you take prescription medications, plan for your vacations. Carry enough of your medications with you to cover your entire trip plus an additional week. You will most likely not be able to fill prescriptions while traveling, plus you want to be covered if you are delayed at any point during your trip.

Be careful, and remember any food allergies while visiting other countries. If you experience severe reactions to certain foods, you must become fluent in the words the natives use when it comes to their food. This will allow you to communicate to others what foods you are trying to avoid.

When traveling to a country where you do not speak the language and you have diabetes, it is important to learn a few key phrases in the language of the country or countries where you will be traveling. Learn the phrases "I need sugar," "I have diabetes," and "I need a doctor."

While traveling, do not bully your body into believing you will be sick no matter what. If you suffer from motion sickness, then worrying will only exacerbate the problem. Additional stress should be avoided while traveling. Stress can lower your immune system. Try not to let delays, crying children, or your own imagination get the best of your temper.

Vacations should be fun, not another source of irritation. The tips in this article will help you get through the annoying aspects of traveling, and enjoy all the best parts of it instead. No one should have to spend their vacation worrying. Enjoy your trip, and have a great time!

Now we have got all that sorted out, how about heading over to FOMO Travel to find that cure for travel FOMO.

Do you need a cure for travel FOMO???
